Our cat, Silver, looking regal as a king.
I just want to check in with all of you. I’m sure some of you are quarantined alone and may be about to go stir crazy. And some of you may be with family or roommates. For some, that is a blessing and for others, it may be extremely challenging.
I want to give you a chance to share how you are doing with life right now and to reach out to connect with others for encouragement and prayer. You are welcome to talk about the things you are thankful for and the hard things. I invite you to ask for the community here to pray for you.
- Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Pet. 5:7
Our Update
We are doing well here in South Carolina. We are on a Stay Home order now. My husband and I are both able to telecommute for our jobs from home so far. Our children are doing school work online, as well. Our son is a senior in high school. We’re not sure there will be a graduation ceremony for him. Or if there is, it may be quite delayed.
Our church has been live streaming services on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings (for prayer meetings). Tonight, we got to celebrate the Lord’s Supper in our home while our pastor, music director, and 4 singers led us in worship.
I’m grateful that we are still able to go for walks in our neighborhood and the beautiful spring weather has made it possible for us to do that 2-3 times per day over the past few weeks.
It is a different pace, for sure. Slower. Like the world is practically on pause.

I’d love to hear how each of you are doing and how you are spending your time. What is God showing you in these difficult days?
Also, if you have a word of encouragement for everyone or ideas of things people can do to bless others or ways to use this time wisely, we’d love to hear all about it!
Sending a huge virtual hug to each of you and much love in Christ!
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Zeph. 3:17
Pretty Silver! Well I lost my job March 5. And all opportunities in my field have dried up for now. So I’m trying to figure out what I should try for next. Luckily my hubby is still working as his job is essential, (thank you Lord!) but he is in construction so can’t work from home. I’m grateful to God we at least still have income coming in.
Angela,
I’m so sorry to hear that you lost your job over a month ago. 🙁 Praying for wisdom for you and for God’s provision. I’m thankful your husband still has a job. And I love your beautiful attitude.
Thanks so much for sharing!
I’m sending a virtual hug right back, April! Overall, I’m okay. God is really showing me how much he cares for me and I really need it and appreciate it. Zoom meetings are a blessing because you get to actually see people and I really value that. Also, have been praying about 2 things and I’m seeing that God may be opening doors for me. It’s really exciting!
Ash,
Thank you! I’m so glad you are learning more about God’s love for you. I love Zoom meetings, too. Not exactly the same as being together, but it is such a blessing that we have this technology. Oh, wow! Congratulations! How wonderful! Praising God with you. <3
